BIKE OF THE WEEK

TSTOCK AND HIS OL' FRIEND FPLAY!

Bike

Well... here's a dear ole' friend..."FPLAY" was adopted on 4/15/2000, a Birthday present to ME!! A 2000... Kawasaki VN1500N1/FI-Crusier. I'd have to say... this has been the very "best" scoot I've owned since I began buying bikes new in 1972. If there was EVER a testimonial to Metric-bikes, this would be it for me. It now has over "10 years" of non-stop performance and dependability since day one! We have seen over 65,000+ miles together and its never let me down for any length of time. Regular oil & filter changes with the best full-synthetic and a filter every 3 to 4k seems to be the answer. I've taken it to into most every state on the East Coast & many down South as well. It’s helped me have a lot of nice things along the way - and it’s provided many, many sales - by just letting it sit in the showroom over the years at Cycle Specialties. A lot of folks ask me why... working in a bike dealership, why don’t I have a new bike!?" WHY? FPLAY still looks good and it's JUST get'en broke-in about now... plus, its PAID for!!

PUKE FACE BIKE!

Jam

I ride a 1998 Honda Shadow Aero 1100 that started out black and silver. I had always liked the style of the HD Road King so I made a few changes. Including adding a few Harley Davidson parts - thanks to Giver. Front fender, and turn signals are from a Road King, the saddle bags were purchased online for a Road King Custom - and I fabricated the mounts. I installed Vance and Hines Dual Bagger exhaust from a Honda Shadow Tourer fabricating the hanging brackets myself. Of course I added the road lamps, sissy bar, engine guard, and windshield. The paint is House of Kolor Kandy Tangerine over white along with the black. I pinstriped the parts myself. I put it all together over a winter and into the early spring and had it ready to ride in time for the bike blessing about 4 years ago. Puke
